Maple Leafs Ink Zach Aston-Reese

The Maple Leafs have announced that they have signed depth forward Zach Aston-Reese to a 1-year contract in the neighbourhood of $840,000.

Aston-Reese signed a PTO with the Maple Leafs at the beginning of camp and went on to have a great showing that impressed enough to land a deal with the club. He will most likely find himself on the 4th line with Aube-Kubel that's focus will be the defensive side of the puck and a hard forecheck. Now the focus shifts to helping the team have a solid regular season and providing some of his playoff experience to help the club get past their 1st round demons.
